The Fifth Man is a brotherhood built on one simple truth: every man will face a moment he cannot walk alone.
Our name comes from the story in the Gospel of Mark, chapter 2, where four men carried their paralyzed friend to Jesus. When the crowd blocked the door, they climbed onto the roof, tore it open, and lowered him down in front of Christ. They refused to let anything stand in the way of their brother finding healing.
That picture is the heartbeat of The Fifth Man.
Every man will find himself on the mat at some point in life — when faith feels distant, strength runs low, or the weight of life becomes heavy. And every man is also called to be one of the four — the kind of man who shows up, shoulders the load, and helps a brother keep moving toward Christ.
The Fifth Man is the man who steps in when someone else can’t.
He notices the brother who’s drifting.
He refuses to let another slip away quietly.
He says, “I’ll help carry him,” even when the load is heavy.
Because in this brotherhood, every man will need to be carried someday — and every man will be

Our vision is to build a growing brotherhood of men who carry one another toward Christ.
We believe real change happens when men show up for each other with honesty, humility, and faith. Through prayer, Scripture, shared meals, and service, we aim to strengthen men so they can lead their families well, serve their communities, and stand firm in their faith.
Because no man was meant to walk alone.

As The Fifth Man grows, we’re developing additional resources to help men continue growing outside of Wednesday gatherings.
Future courses and study tools will focus on faith, brotherhood, leadership, and walking with Christ in everyday life.
More resources are coming soon.
We’ll be adding a dedicated page with links as these tools become available.
